Malagueta Beach

Malagueta Beach

This city beach is by far the most famous among both locals and tourists visiting Málaga. It is situated just behind the city’s harbour. The area offers a wide range of leisure and entertainment options. Just a stone’s throw away is the Cambara Restaurant, at Muelle Uno, where you can enjoy a unique experience with sophisticated and delicious dishes in an exotic setting.

Malagueta Beach is the quintessential beach in Málaga thanks to its location, just a few minutes’ walk from the historic centre. Of all the beaches in the city of Málaga itself, this is probably the most popular and most visited.

La Caleta Beach

La Caleta beach in Málaga, facing south and lapped by the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean, is situated in the most upmarket area of Málaga, which bears the same name.

On this beach you’ll find areas with palm trees and grass that provide natural shade, whilst there’s also a children’s play area, outdoor gym equipment and a wide selection of cafés and restaurants. There are also several windsurfing and stand-up paddleboarding centres for the more adventurous.

It is said to be one of the best places in the whole region to try paella and skewers. In the evening, the promenade comes alive, particularly with students and young people, who flock to the bars and nightclubs.

Carvajal Beach

This beach is situated between Fuengirola and Benalmádena. Like the previous one, it is ideal for families thanks to its shallow waters. On this beach there is a breakwater where little ones (and adults too) have a great time catching crabs and small prawns, which they must then return to the sea.

The best thing about this beach is that it’s not usually very busy, so you’ll have a more peaceful time and it’ll be easier to find a parking space.

Rincón de la Victoria Beach

At over 2 kilometres long and 30 metres wide, Rincón de la Victoria beach is one of the widest in Málaga. It is the most popular beach in the municipality of Rincón de la Victoria, which means it is usually very busy, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t always a spot to be found to enjoy a great day at the beach.
