The most iconic beach in the city of M\u00e1laga is undoubtedly La Malagueta. Located just a 10-minute walk from the centre of M\u00e1laga, La Malagueta offers a wide range of facilities such as showers, sun lounger hire, toilets, a children\u2019s play area, sports equipment and green spaces\u2026 making it the ideal place to spend a day with the family and have fun at any time of year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the best-known beach in the municipality of Fuengirola; it lies at the foot of a medieval castle (Sohail Castle). Although it is some distance from the town, it is very easy to reach by local train and there are free car parks below the castle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s more, if you have a dog, he or she will also be able to enjoy a day at the beach with you, as there\u2019s a dedicated area just for them where they\u2019ll have a great time playing with the other dogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although it\u2019s a smaller beach than the previous ones, it\u2019s certainly no less impressive. It\u2019s a little slice of paradise with crystal-clear waters, just a stone\u2019s throw from the city centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As it is small, it creates a very cosy and intimate atmosphere and means the water is warmer. On the beach itself, there are sun loungers available and a beach bar where you can enjoy the famous M\u00e1laga-style skewers whilst admiring the blue Mediterranean Sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maro Beach is in a league of its own; it is one of the most stunning and beautiful beaches in the whole country, thanks to its crystal-clear waters and the striking green and earthy natural landscape that surrounds it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It could be described as a work of art created by nature; it is very well preserved and the marine life in its waters is incredible, as it is a protected area where fishing is not permitted. What\u2019s more, it offers diving and kayaking activities, allowing you to explore the sea and admire the beautiful marine life and spectacular waterfalls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re looking for a slice of paradise, this is the beach for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pe\u00f1\u00f3n del Cuervo (El Palo)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Last but not least, we\u2019d like to introduce you to Pe\u00f1\u00f3n del Cuervo, a beach that takes its name from a huge, imposing rock jutting out from the shore. This beach offers a much more peaceful atmosphere, far removed from civilisation, where you can switch off and relax. It\u2019s best to go by car, but there\u2019s also a bus (M-260) that drops you off just a few metres from the beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
