Cañuelo Beach
Cañuelo Beach is in the municipality of Nerja; it is situated in the heart of the Maro Cliffs Natural Park, which explains its unique wildlife and beauty. It is surrounded and sheltered by cliffs, strong winds and waves. However, you can reach it via a path that winds its way between the cliffs. Remember to wear comfortable trainers!
Peñón del Cuervo Cove
This beach isn’t quite as secluded or unspoilt as the previous one, but it has its own charm and isn’t usually very crowded either. This beach is characterised by an imposing breakwater at the water’s edge, from which the more adventurous jump into the water and have a great time. La Caleta de Maro is situated in the municipality of Maro. Like the first beach, it lies beneath some cliffs, is surrounded by wildlife and is difficult to reach. Cala del Pino
Cala del Pino is situated in the town of Nerja and consists of two small coves separated by a series of scattered rocks. But don’t worry, you can easily walk from one cove to the other. What makes this beach stand out are its crystal-clear waters, fine sand and the wildlife that abounds on its cliffs. You’ll also find some hidden little caves!
Las Viborillas Beach
This beach is situated in the town of Benalmádena and consists of several small coves that are ideal for diving enthusiasts. The great thing about Las Viborillas beach is that it’s not as difficult to reach as the others, though this doesn’t detract from the fact that it’s a paradise-like beach with few visitors. It’s sheltered by palm trees and a Mediterranean woodland.
It boasts wildlife and marine life that are ideal for any water-based activity, such as diving, snorkelling or kayaking. What’s more, thanks to its lush vegetation, it is sheltered from strong winds and waves. You can also paddle out to the other hidden coves.
